Happy National Poetry Month! If you’re new here, welcome. If you’ve been with us for a while (thank you, by the way), you probably have noticed that our site has a new look.
We know that you love our content (thank you, again), so we want to bring you more of it. This means we will now have daily blog posts and regular video content. What else is new? Check out these things on the home page:
- Links We Love: Stay up to date on poetry news from around the world.
- Read Poetry Recommends: See weekly poetry recommendations from our team and discover new people, organizations, and events in the poetry community.
- Daily Poem: Stop by every day to read a new poem. These range from classic poetry to modern, so there’s something for everyone.
- Spotify: After you read your daily poem, see what we are recommending on Spotify. This could relate to new book releases, the poetry community, or maybe it’s just a song we like.
So why the new look? In order to bring you all of this exciting new content, we needed an updated, streamlined look to accommodate every blog post, article, video, and more. However our navigation still works the same, and the crowd-favorite prompts will not go away, so keep writing your #readpoetryprompt poems every week!
Last but not least, join us next Sunday, April 7th at the Bowery Poetry Club in New York City for a full day, live poetry experience. The day includes spoken word performances from national best-selling poets, a book launch from NPR-featured poet Andrei Codrescu, Q&A with Karah Preiss of Belletrist and NYU Creative Writing Director Deborah Landau, and ends with the renowned Bowery Poetry open mic night. You won’t want to miss this celebration of National Poetry Month.
